New Jersey State Council on the Arts

The Artists-in-Education (AIE) Program is the cornerstone of the arts education program for the New Jersey State Council on the Arts. The goal is to make the arts a basic part of quality education for all New Jersey students, pre-kindergarten to grade 12 through residencies with professional teaching artists. Residencies are offered in a wide variety of disciplines in partnership with four arts organizations: Arts Horizons, Perkins Center for the Arts, Playwrights Theatre New Jersey and Young Audiences New Jersey. AIE artists are selected for their artistic qualifications and their abilities as educators.
